Our 5 Core Truths
1. The Bible is God’s Word
We believe that the Bible is God’s written word for us His creation. He inspired and used Godly men and women to communicate His story of redemption of humanity. The Bible is our guide for living, relating and all of life. It is the final authority of truth. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; John 6:68; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; Revelation 22:18-19).
2. Salvation Through Jesus Christ
Salvation is deliverance from spiritual death and enslavement by sin. God provides salvation for all who believe and accept His free offer of forgiveness. Through Jesus’ death on the cross, He took the punishment for our sin and paid for our forgiveness. It is only in Jesus that we can make it to heaven. All we have to do is put our faith/trust in Him for the forgiveness of our sin and follow Him with our lives. (Luke 24:47; John 3:3,16,17; Rom. 8:16; 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8,9; 4:24; Titus 2:11-12; 3:5-7).
3. Divine Healing
Divine healing is an integral part of the Christ’s gospel and is available today through the grace of Christ Jesus. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. (Isa. 53:4,5; Matt. 8:16,17; James 5:14-16)
4. The Empowering Work of the Holy Spirit
As Jesus was preparing His followers for His coming death, burial, resurrection and eventually ascension into heaven, He told them that He would send the Spirit (John 16:5-15) to them. In fact, in Acts 1:4, Jesus told them to wait for the promise of the Spirit. Today the Holy Spirit is very much at work as the 3rd person of the God-head. He works in our world to convict us of our sin (John 16:8), to lead us into all truth concerning the Lord Jesus (v. 13), He leads and directs a believer’s life (Galatians 5:25), and He empowers our life through what Scripture calls, a Baptism in the Spirit (John 1:33; Acts 1:8; 2:4, 38-39)
5. Jesus’ Soon Return for His Followers
All Christians who have died will one day rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air. Christians who have not yet died will be raptured or caught up with them, to be with the Lord. Then Christians of all ages will live with God forever. The scriptural truth of the Lord’s soon return is “the blessed hope”. (Romans 8:23; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:13)
