What can I expect when I visit Shrewsbury Assembly?
Shrewsbury Assembly is a place where life-change occurs. Everything we do is centered on helping people take their next steps in their journey of faith. When you arrive, you will find friendly volunteers to help direct you and answer any questions you may have. You’re invited to come a few minutes early and grab a cup of coffee too. We know you’ll love it here, where you can come as you are. We want to help you take your next step.
Starting Times: Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:15 a.m. We would encourage to arrive early to enjoy some free coffee and snacks in our Fellowship Cafe’. If you have children, this will also provide an opportunity for you to get them checked in using our secure KidCheck system (more information below). Our Wednesday Night Family Night activities begin at 7 p.m.
Music: Our praise and worship experience is primarily a pursuit of God’s presence. Our music exalts the character of our Lord through various styles.
Teaching: We believe in teaching from the Word of God, the Bible. We use life applications and illustrations to bring the Bible to life in a current and relevant form. Our 90-minute, Sunday morning service (music, teaching, and all) will hopefully equip and inspire you for your whole week.
Nursery & Toddlers: Our infant nursery is available for parents’ use. We offer a toddler nursery for toddlers (2-3 years of age), both conveniently located right off the main lobby.
Kids Clubhouse: Every age appropriate environment is designed to help kids experience God first-hand and learn to trust Him. Energetic and caring adult volunteers strive to make this the best hour of your kids’ week. Children ages 4-12 (6th grade) are dismissed from main service soon after the music portion of the service ends.
For security purposes, Shrewsbury Assembly uses the KidCheck system. You can save time on Sunday Morning by setting up a free KidCheck account here. Greeters are available before service begins at the KidCheck desk to assist you in registering your children. For the safety of the children, all children in the nursery and Children’s Church, and their parents must have security tags.
Questions?: Throughout the church on Sunday mornings, there are greeters, hosts, ushers, and members of our safety & security team. These volunteers will be wearing a Shrewsbury Assembly name badge and lanyard. They are available anytime before, during, or after the service to answer any questions you may have. You can also contact the church office at (717) 235-9300 or by email.
